What do our students go through when they study overseas? What is it like for these young people and what can we do as educators here in Thailand to help?
Whether we are elementary, high school or university based, many of us share detailed and personal knowledge of what it is like to study overseas.
However, the question remains, what can we do with our limited time, to help our students the most in their preparations for the excitement and the accompanying stress of studying overseas.
Tonight, in a panel discussion lead by Dawn Wilson of St Michael University School, Canada a team of educators from Canadian schools and universities visiting Bangkok for the Study in Canada Fair 2012, organized by the Embassy to Canada to Thailand will talk about The TEN Most Important Things a Thai student should do to prepare to study in Canada.
Of particular interest to any educator who has students who are or could study overseas in the English-speaking world, tonight’s meeting will offer valuable insights into how we can help our students be successful overseas.
In addition, tonight’s event welcomes school administrators and guidance advisors to meet with schools and universities that have come to Thailand especially to meet with you to discuss how your graduating students can add Canada schools and universities to the list of study destinations that will reflect very positively on your schools academic program.
